Why register?

1. We offer sailboat rides in return for a donation for the schools. Knowing how many boats are committing to offer rides, and how many passengers they are equipped to take, helps us to ensure everybody who has donated has a seat.

2. Due to high demand for the limited slip space, the marina will assign slips based on availability of slips for your boat size and and your requested length of stay. Note that only boats who are registered can take advantage of any day-rate discounts offered by Marina Puerto Navidad.

3. The all-volunteer organizing committee has many tasks to complete for each event; knowing which boats are participating gives us time to be ready and provide an excellent shore-side and on-board experience.

Please register before the deadline if you want to: ​

• Take your boat on the water for Cruise-In Week sails with paying passengers.

• Sign up to be a "music boat" - preferably a larger motor vessel or catamaran with reliable power and an upper shaded deck to host the musician(s). Our volunteer talent is typically a solo artist or duet.

• Join the Flamingo Regatta as part of the race or as the committee boat.  Remember - this is a no-entry-fee-just-for-fun-and-help-a-good-cause event. Plan to have fun out there!
   

• Whether registered or not, we have many types of volunteer activities that allow you to participate on the water, or as land-based support.

  • Pack and distribute boater gift bags and food and drink bags for passengers,

  • The event start and finish times may occur when winds are picking up - one of the most appreciated volunteer groups are those who help boats get off and on the dock by handling lines, or having a dinghy in the water,

  • Work at the passenger registration sites to check tickets, guide passengers to the water taxi, help load passengers into the water taxis, or sell t-shirts,

  • Supply physical labor at one or more of our beneficiary sites - painting, grounds maintenance, light plumbing (materials and tools supplied),

 

NOTE:  Registering for the Cruise-In Week / Flamingo Regatta does not automatically reserve or guarantee a slip. YOU must contact the marina office directly to make slip arrangements, or you can choose to anchor in the "laguna". Don't delay - the highest demand for marina slips occurs in the January - April period.

PRO TIP: Do not use the website's online reservation request. Instead, send an email with your name, contact phone, boat name, boat length and width, desired arrival and departure dates to recepcionmarina@islaresort.com.mx. Copy harbormaster@islaresort.com.mx, and then call the office at +52 314.337.9014 to confirm they have all the information they need.
